Public and Lane Swim Admission Policy

Public swim times are not refundable or transferable.
Swim times will proceed through rain or cooler temperatures, but not through mechanical failures🔧or unsafe weather (lightning⚡️ hail🌨 heavy smoke 💨) as deemed by the lifeguarding team.
If facility staff cancels a swim time (due to unsafe weather or mechanical failure) before the designated start time, patrons will not be allowed to enter the facility. A credit will be issued by the pool to the swimmer. Credits are good until the end of the current season.
If patrons have started their designated swim time but must evacuate the pool due to unsafe weather, no refunds or credits will be issued.
The pool may remain closed until weather conditions improve. -
Anyone who enters the fenced area of the pool during Public or Lane swim must pay the admission fee for their age category. (includes GST)
Each person regardless of swimming or spectating/not swimming counts towards the total pool capacity & Lifeguard to patron ratio.
Admissions may be purchased online up to 3 days in advance, or as a Walk-in customer at the front counter after 8:00am daily. -
We accept Cash, VISA, M/C, & Debit for Public Swim Admissions, Private Rentals, Day Camps and Lesson Registrations.
The concession is CASH or debit tap. To use debit, spend must be at least $10.00. -
City of Calgary passes are not accepted at COSPA Outdoor Pools.
We do accept City of Calgary fee assistance cards for a 50% Public or Lane swim discount for Walk-In admissions only. -
All tots under the age of 3 years must wear plastic pants over their swim diapers.
Single use "Little Swimmers" and reusable Gabbys swim diapers are available for purchase at the pool.
We ask that all diapers are changed in the change rooms and not on the pool deck. -
Smoking or vaping is not allowed anywhere within the fenced area of the facility or along front entryway.
Alcohol is strictly prohibited.
We reserve the right to require any patron to vacate the facility for abusive or inappropriate behavior, language or dress.
Physical or verbal abuse of staff will not be tolerated. No refunds will be given. -
A RESPONSIBLE PERSON (age 14+) MUST BE WITHIN ARMS REACH OF TOTS AND CHILDREN AGES 7 AND UNDER AT ALL TIMES regardless of swimming ability when on the pool deck, or in main or shallow pools.
"Within Arms Reach" means the arm reach of the responsible person while in the water or on the pool deck or in the building.
If you are not within arm's reach, you have gone too far.

Help us keep great quality pool water and clean floors by placing shoes on shoe racks provided in change rooms or in your locker.
Please shower before and after swimming. -
Outside toys will be allowed capacity permitting. Lifeguard staff will have the final say.
Please, No mermaid tails, snorkels or flippers during public swim.
Breath holding activities are not allowed. -
On very warm days our facility will approach capacity.

The COSPA ratio policy is 1 guard per 40 patrons in the facility (swimmers or spectators)
The pool supervisor reserves the right to decrease this ratio to preserve the safety of patrons and due to staff availability. - Lifeguards enforce rules, regulations, and respond to aquatic emergencies, but parents are ultimately responsible for the safety and behavior of their children.
